3 Different Looks with Boyfriend Jeans

January 6, 2015 6 Comments

Don’t get stuck in the classic jean rut! I have been continuing to adore styling and wearing my boyfriend jeans. The jean’s versatility allows you to create super fun differing looks, over and over again.

Some of my favorite looks to style with boyfriend jeans:

The Classy Look: Add some class to your boyfriend jean look. Adore the crisp white blazer mixed with the rough look of the jean. Add some low neutral heels and some simple silver bracelets. Great for a “casual” Friday!

The Cuddly Look: We already know my obsession with fur vests, so why not pair them with boyfriend jeans? Wear either a solid white or black tee underneath and some cute understated flats. Chunky bracelet.

The Western Look: Plaid is such a winning pattern, tie in some tassels and you’re there! The jeans add some intrigue to the boot-plaid shirt combo without straying too far from the classic Western look we all know and love. Then you must add some glamour with a sparkly dramatic necklace.

How do you style your boyfriend jeans?

Sparkle and Shine in Your New Years Eve Outfit

December 30, 2014 10 Comments

New Years Eve should be brought in with a dramatic fashion look that sparkles and shines. I don’t care if no one else is dressing up where you will be dancing the night away, you do!! What other night can you pull off huge bows, feathers, glitter and fur?

The New Year should be brought in with some bold colors and fun textures. This year the golden color has really stuck out to me. It’s an attention getting color that pairs great with neutrals and sparkle. Textures like the polka dot leggings, bejeweled skirt, and rough leather will make a statement. And I want you to make a BIG statement this NYE because 2015 is going to be your year!

These pieces really say “Bring it on 2015!” And don’t just bring it with your accessories and your outfit, let’s glam up our makeup, nails and hair. OPI never fails to impress with their signature or sassy colors, try this classic red or fun glittery gold. Fake eyelashes? Yes, please.

Check out other great outfits at this linkup!

Three Glamorous Fur Vests and Accessories

December 28, 2014 2 Comments

Furs just have a way of making you feel glamorous, and who doesn’t want that? You can add a touch of dazzle to any outfit by adding fur. Leggings, black long tee, and fur vest, a perfect combo this winter. And who doesn’t want some leather gloves with a fur trim? Glamour at its finest.

I remember perfectly when I was younger and my mother would wear her gorgeous minx full length fur coat, I would always beg to try it on. Let’s be honest, I did last week too, but it’s still such a staple piece and good furs last forever! I always said by the age of 25 I would buy myself one. Why did 25 seem old? We will have to change that to at least 30…

BCBG
Ecru
Linda Richards

My obsession with fur vests has gotten a little out of control. I adore these three fur vests. The BCBG is a soft faux shearling that could easily be thrown over a basic tee with jeans or leggings. Ecru vest is rabbit and so very soft to the touch! The Linda Richards is Marsala, which will be the it color in 2015! Which is your favorite?

All found at R Meyers.

1. Scarf by Linda Richards
2. Gloves by Carolina Amato
3. Vest by Tracy Reese
4. Curly Lamb Vest by Kelli Kouri

Adore all the above pieces. Wearing fur accessories and pieces instantly make a boring outfit a WOW outfit. Add some wow to your look this winter!

What are your thoughts on fur vests and accessories?

Essentials for your Winter Closet

December 5, 2014 2 Comments

Each season I take inventory of my closet. This allows me to really see what my closet is full of and what it is lacking for the upcoming weather. Doing this prevents me from aimlessly shopping around and picking out clothes or shoes that I don’t need just because It’s Winter Now! I’m sure I need it… If I do that, I end up with one hundred pairs of cozy leggings and absolutely no tops to go with it. Awkward.

Shop for all the essentials first. Essentials I would recommend:

These are all good neutral pieces to have for winter. It’s easy to make multiple different outfits by mixing and matching these neutral pieces. Then, you can go crazy with the accessories to make a completely different look. Buying these essentials will help you save money, while still looking fresh with fun jewelry, scarves, or shoes!

Footwear

Boots (Black/Brown)
Rain Boots
Black/Leopard Flats
Cozy Warm Boots

Outerwear

Neutral coat
Statement coat
Rain Jacket
Gloves
Hat
Cozy scarves (statement/black/brown)

Tops

Long sleeve (black/white/brown)
Statement sweater
Neutral sweaters (black/white/tan)
Button up cardigan (black/white/tan)

Pants

Leggings (black/brown)
Black jeans
Standard blue jeans

Obviously your favorite neutrals may be different than mine. I’m not a grey fan and would choose brown over grey any day. Pick the best neutrals for your own skin tone. Some of my favorite go-to brands for neutral items are James Perse, Michael Stars, Three Dots, Steve Madden, and Dolce Vita.

What is your winter closet full of?

Best Color of Fall

October 14, 2014 4 Comments

Military green is big this fall and I’m having no problems making it a staple this season. I’m enjoying wearing this color in my pants, jewelry, scarves, and anywhere I can possibly add it in. Green has always been one of my favorites! Dare I even say that camo is coming back? Please, oh please!

Button-Up: Michael Stars/Necklace: JCrew/ Jeans: JCrew/ Pumps: Gianni Bini

Adore this shirt incorporating two of my favorites this fall, plaid and military green. Michael Stars is my one of my go-to brands when it comes to comfy and cute. My fall wardrobe would be incomplete without this brand. The tops are good quality and to die for soft. If you’re in the OKC area, I find all my Michael Stars at R Meyers in Nichols Hills.

Other Favorite Military Green Items

1. Threadbare Sweater 2. Wrap Bracelet 3. Color Block Legging 4. Military Jacket 5. Cardigan

Are you incorporating Military Green into your Fall closet?
