Improve Posture and Build Core Strength Workout

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... posture is everything! Present yourself pridefully, remember shoulders up back and down. Slouching is not good for you, nor appealing. The woman with good posture wins every time.

Do you know how important a strong back is in establishing a good core? Your core supports you in everything that you do. Building strength in your back also helps to create that coveted flat belly. Hello new bikini! So enough talk, let's work!

15 Minute Back/Core Strength Building Workout:

:30 Legs/Shoulder Lift (or Superman)
Raise your arms and your legs and lift upward as far as you can, hold a breath, repeat.

:30 Leg Lift
Lie your face down and focus on lifting your back legs as high as you can. Really isolate the lower half.

:30 Left Shoulder Lift
Lie on your stomach and lift using your back and obliques to the right.

:30 Right Shoulder Lift
Lie on your stomach and lift using your back and obliques to the left.

:30 Swimmer

4 Tips for Best Top Golf Experience

Birthday celebrations can get kind of tricky once you start getting older. You don't have your friends over to eat cake, open presents, and get entertained by a frightening clown, but neither do you overindulge in all sorts of alcoholic beverages that make you regret the festivities in the morning. So what do you do?

We were in luck this year planning Colton's "birthday party" because Top Golf just opened in Oklahoma City. It was seriously one of the best times ever!

For those who don't know how Top Golf works, let me explain. First, you get a bay, here you have a seating area just for you and your friends. Then you play golf, eat, drink, and be merry!

Who's form wins?

Helpful tips if you haven't played at Top Golf

1) You don't need to bring your own clubs. There is a set for you to choose from when you are there. There are designated women and men clubs that you can select from and differing clubs based on distance. Personally I didn't get past yellow, but all the more reason to keep practicing and going!

2) Make reservations for a bay. I will warn you that since its new and awesome, the wait time is not very fun...but it's worth it.

3) Plan enough time. We had it set up for 3 hours and ended up even adding another hour! I though I would start to get bored but it was so much fun!

4) Order there fresh guacamole! Mmmm it was delicious, along with their other food too! Drinks and food are Top notch. Get it? :)

Have you played at Top Golf before? Any other tips?

5 Ways to Appear More Confident

via

Confident people get more. More opportunities and less questions. The less you question yourself, the better! Don't let people intimidate you without your consent, you are exactly who you are supposed to be.

However, sometimes situations arise where you can't get out of a funk and lack self-confidence. When this occurs, try to keep your cool and at least appear more confident. Soon, you will begin to truly feel it. This is where the saying fake it till you make it comes into play.

So how do you appear more confident when you are not?

Posture makes all the difference in how people perceive you. If you walk and sit with good posture you immediately look more sure of yourself. Go ahead, pull those shoulders back and down and look fierce.

Have a pleasant look on your face... all the time. Confident people tend to always look like everything is okay, even if everything isn't. Panic inside, fresh on the outside.

Talk slower. What you have to say is important! Don't rush through it like it's nothing or people will treat it that way. If you talk confidently, people will listen to you. It's not a race to see who can talk fastest.

Dress the part. I don't care what anyone says but how you dress affects how you feel. Particularly, for me, heels make me feel more confident! Wear what works for you and what makes you feel ready to tackle the situation!

Body language. Hold eye contact, don't break eye contact first. Shake hands like you mean it. Nothing is worse then a weak handshake.

Another helpful tip is to channel someone who would rock the situation. I like to channel a mix of Samantha Jones and Carrie Bradshaw. Samantha doesn't give a flip about anyone and truly owns the room and Carrie Bradshaw...just because I love her.
