Top Sparkly Delicate Rings that Get Noticed

July 10, 2014 Leave a Comment

Shiny delicate rings have been haunting my dreams in a sparkly splendor. They have been everywhere and I had no idea how to choose which one to make my own! No one should fret as much as I did over these beautiful teeny tiny rings…

After pouring over fashion websites, trusty blogs, and favorite brands I have completed the search and compiled them in a helpful list(both pricey and cheapey)in hopes to save you some unnecessary concern and time.

Top 12 Best Delicate Rings:
Top Row

  • Stella & Dot Stackables: $41.95
  • Kate Spade Bow Ring: $48
  • Gorjana ‘Carina’ Stackable Midi Rings: $35
  • James Avery Amor Stacked Ring: $47

Middle Row

  • Emily Armenta Diamond Stack Ring : $960
  • Nikki Montoya 14K Solid Yellow Gold Hammered Ring: $80
  • Katherine Bentley Sapphire Eternity Snake Ring: $750
  • Bones and Feathers Petite Ring: $27

Bottom Row

  • Loren Stewart 5 Diamond Baby Band Ring: $250
  • Freida Rothman the “Standard” Classic Rings: $275
  • Jennifer Meyer Emerald and Gold Thin Ring: $175
  • Pandora Heart Silver Ring: $45

I’m currently too obsessed with these slender delicate rings. They add just the right amount of dazzle! Adoring both the normal rings or midi rings. There is nothing prettier than understated beautiful jewelery.

Adorn your hand with any of those! You talk with your hands all day so they might as well Sparkle !

The winner for me was Freida Rothman!

To be stacked, or not to be? Depends on the mood!

If you’re anywhere in the OKC area, R Meyers will be having a trunk show with Freida Rothman’s gorgeous jewelry collection. July 17-19.

Which do you like best?

Why Your Body Needs More Water

July 8, 2014 Leave a Comment

Water makes up about 60% of our bodies. Needless to say, it’s very important for us to consume good ole’ fashion water. Not just a glass, but 3 liters people! Many people have cured digestive problems, migraines, cholesterol and many other health problems simply by drinking more water. Your body literally needs copious amounts of water to function properly. Do not deprive your body or it will react in a way that you won’t like! Think: wrinkles, acne, migraine, weight gain…

  • Regulates your body temperature
  • Flushes toxins out of your body
  • Serves as a vital nutrient to every single cell in your body
  • Absorbs shock to protect your brain and spinal cord
  • Boosts your immune system

Not only for our health, but for vain purposes too. Check out this women who looks about 10 years younger after drinking the “recommended” amount of water for 4 weeks. It really shows huh?

3 other slightly vain but equally convincing reasons to convince you:

  • Greatly helps in weight loss
  • Cleanses your skin to be clear and glowy
  • Best and cheapest anti aging treatment

My Personal Results::
I took the challenge and have been sure to drink 3 liters a day. My results weren’t quite as drastic because I am typically pretty good about drinking water but my habit of drinking of water is sporadic. Taking this challenge made sure that I got enough water each day, rather than overly watering my body one day and depleting it the next. My skin also looks clearer and feels softer after the full month. Also, it really does help push away random food cravings. You’re not hungry, you’re thirsty!! Almost every single time. I would recommend buying a 1 liter water bottle to fill up 3 times a day.

The best times to drink water:

  • 1 cup before bed to avoid stroke/heart attack
  • 1 cup when you awaken to activate internal organs
  • 1 cup 30 minutes before every meal to help digestion

So who’s with me? Take the challenge to drink 3 liters of water a day to stay hydrated, healthy, and beautiful! Then, let me know your results!!

Happy Drinking!

Top Activities to Do in Colorado

July 3, 2014 Leave a Comment

Missed blogging last week while I was on vacation! I had not realized how accustomed and how much I had grown to love blogging. I look forward to curling up with my computer and sharing with you! 🙂

My trip was absolutely incredible, to say the least. Colorado has to be one of the most gorgeous states. The cabin we stayed at was tucked neatly into the mountains and was in the middle of nowhere creating a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. I could feel the tension rolling out of my shoulders. Oh, how I needed it!

On Monday, I dropped my phone and it went tumbling down, down, down hard, which in fact destroyed it. I didn’t have a phone again until Friday, meaning it was 5 whole days in nature with no distractions. Originally, I had made a deal with myself to only check email/other obligations once a day. However, that idea flew out the window when my phone flew out of my hands. Meaning complete relaxation. I got a true break from this Go-Go-Go world.

The trip was full of excitement and adventures. Horseback riding, white water rafting, hiking, climbing mountains, and exploring caves.

I was anxious about my random heights scare, and hoped it would not keep me from activities… I never know what will make me nervous when it comes to heights. Between you and me, my heights fright is quite bipolar. Miraculously though, hardly anything scared me…I was literally climbing up mountains with my bare hands. RAWR! And whew how the altitude affects you! Huffin’ and puffin’ after walking up a hill is not typical, but in Colorado it’s a different story!

Tip Top of Pikes Peak. 14,000 altitude. Light headed to say the least.

The boyfriend got in his quality golfing time, of course!

Cave of the Winds. Apparently “old maids” used to leave something behind when they visited the cave, like a coin or token, promising them a year full of luck and marriage within the year! Have to love old stories like these!

Hanging out with my babe, Blondie. Sore inner thighs for days.

So much beauty in Colorado. Already craving another trip back!

Black Bean Brownies

July 1, 2014 Leave a Comment

Chocolate is the source of my added fluff. So to be able to eat rich chocolate brownies guilt-free is pretty awesome. After biting into these delicious gluten free Black Bean Brownies I knew my dessert experience was forever changed. These were so scrumptious, moist, chocolatey and low-cal!

I have been wanting to make these brownies for a while now and figured that a lazy Sunday afternoon was the perfect time to experiment in the kitchen with unlikely ingredients. Black beans instead of flour sounds quite funky but trust me, you can hardly tell. Don’t roll your eyes at me, I promise. If you are challenging me, make them and be amazed with their chocolate goodness.

I used the recipe from one of my favorite food blogs, the Minimalist Baker. I made a couple alterations to their take on the brownie. First, I swapped most of the white sugar to brown sugar and then, added Nutella. Because, why in the world would Nutella not be included in this decadent brownie?!

Ingredients:
1 Can Black Beans
3 Tbsp Coconut Oil
3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp Nutella
1/4 Cup Choc Chips
1 Tsp Baking Soda
Sprinkle of Salt

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients (besides choc chips) into the blender. Then, blend until smooth! Mix chocolate chips in. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. So simple!

The batter was even delicious!

Bon Appetit!

Chocolate lovers – Please make these, you won’t be disappointed!
