My dress has been found at Moliere Bridal and I’m filled with excitement for December 10! I mean, let’s be honest, what you wear is one of the most important things on your wedding day, besides the groom, maybe. Finding the dress and the arrival of 2016 just made everything seem more real and I’m about to go full force into wedding planning mode.
There are 5 important things to consider when picking the right wedding dress for you on your big day!
First, make sure that you feel comfortable in it. There is nothing worse then an uncomfortable looking bride. Immediately brings the cringe worthy visions of Julia Roberts in Runaway Bride racing off on a horse, wedding dress flying in the wind.
Second, get a dress that you won’t be terrified to look back to in photos. Don’t do the super trendy thing that is happening right now. Think of how good you thought that outfit looked on you a few years ago and how you look back at it in pictures now. Yeah, I know you know the outfit I’m talking about.
Dress for YOUR body, not a models that you saw in a magazine. If the model was tall and thin and your short and curvy, odds are it won’t look the same on you. If there is one day to feel amazing in your own skin, it’s your wedding day!
Consider others opinions, and also know what your future husband likes, but really think about what you will be happiest walking down the aisle in. It’s your day and your choice. Remember that when choosing who will go with you when you’re trying them on. I kept it easy peasy and just took my momma and sister.
Lastly, stay on the budget that you made for yourself. That simple.
You better believe that I will be dancing my head off at my wedding so I did consider this in my purchase too! So do consider if you are going to need to get your grove on. 🙂
How adorable is this little sketch that comes from a great Wedding Planning book that my sweet cousin got for me?
